July 9-Fundy National Park

An early start this morning, we wanted to catch the low tide at 0730.  They post the tide schedule for those who want to see the full show, and boy is it ever worth it.  We went down to one of the beach trails and hit the shoreline.
Hiking trail leading to low tide
Beautiful trails were everywhere

We checked out a few trails, while the tide worked it's way in.
The trails were well maintained, and varied in length and difficulty.   We saw lots of crabs, barnacles, birds while we hiked.  A great morning.

Second trail we did, forested area, nice and easy walk

Checking out a barnacle in the backwards binocular
Saw lots of things on the rocks at low tide
This crab was only about 2 cm wide

Covered bridge leading to one of the campgrounds-our trailer wouldn't have fit, but the truck did!

When we had hiked enough to work up an appetite, we drove into Alma and had what was to me the best meal of the trip.  A little hotel in the town (Parkland Village Inn), had a nice restaurant on the main level that looked out over the shore.  We had lobster and seafood platters for lunch.  Devon and I both discovered what it is like to eat a fresh scallop.  Oh boy, now we're hooked.   After lunch we worked our way back to the campsite, and left Rob behind for a nap, and Devon and I went to enjoy the salt water solar heated pool with the amazing view of the shore.  What a great day.  (50 km drive)

You could watch the tides from poolside

A solar heated saltwater pool with a view-nice!
